Our medical staff is led by Bianca Rosso, M.D.,
a board certified family doctor, Rebecca Droberg ACNP-BC, an Acute Care Nurse
Practitioner, and Jennifer Perry, CMA and April Giers, CMA our Certified
Medical Assistants. Our office staff includes Shari Weiss-Riojas and Lydia
Sisco in Reception, Registration and Records. Glenn Speed is our Billing
Specialist who joined the practice in January 2010.

Bianca Rosso, MD Board Certified Family Practice
born and raised in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania earning her baccalaureate at the
University of Pennsylvania. She relocated to North Carolina while studying
animal science and joined a research project for the National Toxicology
Program at the National Institute of Health’s North Carolina Division. This
work went on to publish in 1990. She went on to earn her Medical Doctorate at the New Jersey Medical School,
Newark in 1994. Residency training was completed at the Barberton Family Practice
through Barberton Citizen’s Hospital in Ohio where she was the Chief Resident. In 1997, she joined staff at Western Carteret Medical center at which time was
owned by Carteret General Hospital. Dr. Rosso purchased the practice as the solo
owner and provider in August of 2002. In February 2014, Dr. Rosso assumed an
additional role and title as medical director at Croatan Ridge Nursing and
Rehab in Newport.
Dr. Rosso is a Board Certified Family Practice Physician and is a member of the
American Academy of Family Physicians and the Society of Teachers of Family
Medicine. She is also a Certified Medical Director.
At Western Carteret Medical Center, Dr. Rosso provides a full range of
ambulatory/outpatient services as well as preventative medicine throughout the
age continuum. Dr. Rosso has a special interest in dermatologic procedures where
she performs biopsies, wide local incisions, laceration repair, lesion
removals, electro-cry surgery, and nail procedures. Cosmetic procedures include
Juvederm fillers and Botox injections.
Dr. Rosso calls Emerald Isle her home where she resides with her sweetheart and
their 2 dogs. On her days off, she is found at her stable caring for and riding
her horses. Dr. Rosso performs and competes in Dressage and is the President of
the Eastern Dressage & Combined Training Schooling Association (EDCTSA).
This year marks the 20th anniversary of Dr. Rosso providing quality accessible
patient care through commitment and continuity in the community of the Crystal
Coast of North Carolina.
is a board certified Acute Care Nurse Practitioner at Western
Carteret Medical Center since February 2015. Rebecca was born and raised in
Baltimore receiving a baccalaureate in Biology from the College of Notre Dame
of Maryland and her baccalaureate degree in Nursing at the Johns Hopkins
University School of Nursing. She went on to receive her Masters combined with
Certification as an Acute Care Nurse Practitioner from the University of
Maryland School of Nursing in 2006.
specializes in adult acute care medicine and has been able to continue that
within the practice at Western Carteret Medical Center. She also has internal
medicine experience treating patients with chronic medical conditions as well
as adult preventative care.
has a special interest in the prevention and management of cardiovascular
disease. She has spent more than 8 years of her career managing medical and
surgical patients in the inpatient and outpatient settings in Maryland and
holds national certification through the American Nurses Credentialing Center.
is married to a recently retired United States Marine and has 3 children. She
is excited to call North Carolina her last move where they can continue to
enjoy the beauty of the Crystal Coast.
